Water in any significant amount did not survive the violent assembly of the new earth. Water fell to earth later, during the early solar system, in the icy bodies of comets. And for billions of years, earth’s oceans and rains have provided necessary conditions for life to evolve and endure. This exhibit looks intimately onto small worlds that are touched, shaped, and given life by water.
